You cannot Find Peace by Avoiding Life -Virginia Woolf

I have been gone for a long time..  I have lost words I want to say. At one point I lost it..myself I’ve been too far away too focus on the good things the world has. There are a lot of misconceptions about depression, that it only happens when a bad event happened in a person’s life, or it will just go away. I have suffered from it, and I attest that those are false.

I have been thinking on posting this on my blog, but my psychiatrist told me to do the things that makes me happy. I know this is  too much of a personal story but all I want is to let everyone know how I handled it and to let everyone know that help is all around us.

It happened so suddenly when I felt something in my life is missing, and I’ve been trying to look for an answer. I thought I am a disappointment in our family, I do no good. I felt depressed and lost interest in things. I rarely eat even taking a bath is a hard thing to do. At one point I also thought that maybe it is better to just leave them be someplace that they won’t remember you. a part of myself is afraid of dying, a battle in my head that I’m trying to reason out. I decided I want to be better. I asked help from professionals, my family and friends.

Getting better is a journey, I know I am still far from it but I have faith in my self that I will be that better person.

To anyone who knows they’re going through the same thing.. help is all around us. Even if you don’t go to a professional doctor, talk to your family, your friends. DO NOT LOSE HOPE

P.S Thank you for reading and understanding. 🙂

He Has A Plan

It’s been a while since I posted something in my blog, I guess leaving my home country kept me busy.To my dear friends and followers, just an update guys, I left The Philippines on the 18th day of February, went to Singapore to spend a few days with my very kind cousins and uncle and auntie.

On the 23rd of March I flew to Dubai, If you’ll ask why, of course to look for a job. So, I’ve been here on this foreign country for almost 2 weeks now and no luck has ever approached me. I have been submitting my resume online or sometimes submit it by going to the company personally in short I go as a walk in applicant, still no luck.

Now I am starting to feel frustrated and lonely at the same time being away from home, its hard but I have to hold on until the end for I do not want to cause anymore failure and heartache to my parents. I just I feel there’s something in my chest that I just need to let out and I am thinking of just crying be forever sad about it.

But I thought of a better idea…

I grab a cup of coffee, smelled and drink my favorite drink, then fired up my laptop and thought of the people who never failed to pray for me the moment they knew that I’ll be leaving. I thought of my mom, my dad, my brothers, my closest aunties and uncles, my cousins and literally everyone who loves and cares for me.

Powered up google and searched for a bible verse I can relate to and for me to feel better. So I came across with this verse:

Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

I admit I am not a religious person and I have my own contributions of my own sins. But I know there is Great Entity that I can ask for guidance and help whenever I feel down or weary. I may not be rightful for Him to ask for His Help but I know in His own way He’s making a way for me to cope with whatever I’m feeling right now.

i just want to apologize if I need to post something like this on my page, I know we have different beliefs and all but just what my header states :LIVELAUGHLOVE and I have never felt more aLIVE after sharing my feelings, this may be too personal of a post again I apologize.

Take Me There…..

Places I want to Visit *hopefully before I die* 🙂

I have to admit that I am not much of a travel enthusiast because I’m afraid to travel alone and maybe I’m also scared to get lost alone in a place I am not familiar with.

And because I am on a mission to cross out things from my bucket list, I decided to check out and read about the advantages of travelling alone. Then a quote was shared to me by a friend and it massively got me like, I seriously need to plan on my future travels. :0

“Never did the world make a queen of a girl who hides in houses and dreams without traveling.” ― Roman PayneThe Wanderess

My top 5 Places I want to Visit:

1. Batanes (Philippines) – Batanes is an island province in the region of Cagayan Valley. Who wouldn’t fall in love in with this place?  I have seen and heard about this place in movies and TV shows, and I just I want to run away and be there and see for myself the beauty of the island. Some regard Batanes as home for honest people, for they have this store named “Honesty Coffee Shop” where no one mans the store and you get what you want to buy list in on the logbook  then leave the payment inside a small box. *how cool is that?*

2. New Zealand – Who wouldn’t love to see Middle Earth? When J.R.R. Tolkien’s imagination comes to life in movies you would definitely want to see a piece of the place where it all happened. Some of the places were turned into permanent attraction (e.g. Hobbiton movie set in Matamata), some were left as it is, but still I want to see it personally and close my eyes and be transported to the same scene that happened in the movie.

3. Santorini (Greece) – This place is just WOW! The rich cultural heritage, amazing landscapes, breath-taking views is just….wow! this could be a perfect haven for couples but I say, I want to go there and experience the beauty of the place by myself.

4. Dubai (UAE) – I don’t know, but I just want to go here in some point in my life. I think this post wouldn’t be complete without Dubai in my list. I guess I wanted to see what other people always say about this city. The humongous buildings, man-made islands, vast desert, It’s miracle garden, Burj Al Arab which I find really stupendous.

5. United Kingdom – Now my ultimate to go place, no other than the home of Shakespearean literature. *I can also say it’s because of One Direction*  🙂 But I will not miss the place where my favorite classic British authors were born and got their inspiration from their acclaimed literary works. I already have a list in mind including Shakespeare’s birthplace Stratford-upon-Avon. Haworth, West Yorkshire (Haworth Parsonage) where Emily Brontë died in which she refused help from doctors saying she would have “no poisoning doctor” near her. Jane Austen House Museum in the village of Chawton near Alton in Hampshire, the place where Jane Austen spent her last 8 years in life.

River Ouse in the counties of West and East Sussex, the place where Virginia Woolf killed herself by placing stones on her overcoat pockets and drowned herself.

I have more places to add for my “to go” places in the UK, I know my list are very unusual but I rather have these unusual places to visit in the future where I could feel proud of the exquisite travel.

The 1975

Please don’t get mad at me if I say: “It was only today that I heard about the band “1975” Oh my! Weird me! When I was asked by an acquaintance if I like the band I was like “WHO?” “The only thing I know about 1975 is, that was the year when John Lennon released his Rock n Roll album. (Gosh! I am deeply apologizing to 1975’s fans).

Just to share, when I was younger (please just don’t ask me how old I am now 😛 ) I love listening to bands like Panic! at the disco, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance and the likes, and then one day I woke up and stop listening to them. But I still have their songs saved in my playlist because there are days where I just want to listen to their song/s depending on my mood. Ha! But nowadays I don’t have any news about new alternative bands making their name in the music industry maybe because I’m too focused with work or with One Direction. LoL! 😀

So to get rid of my ignorance about the band, I listened to some of their songs on youtube, and I have to admit they sound really good, and when I say really good, I downloaded their album on itunes so I can listen to all of their songs.

I cannot explain the technicality on how the band really sounded because I am not a music expert or whatnot, but one thing I know after listening to their album is, that for me, it sounded refreshing to my ears and I find some of their songs really catchy and the beat just really makes you want to listen to it over and over.

I’ll name 3 of their songs that I loved from the first time I heard it.

  1. The City – A line from the song that keeps repeating on my mind  “Yeah, If you wanna find love then you know where the city is” Like seriously where is this city?! i wanna find my love! take me there now! 🙂
  2. Is There Somebody Who Can Watch You – “I know it’s me that’s supposed to love you And when I’m home you know I got you. Is there somebody who can watch you?” No need to explain the feels, this line is just perfection
  3. Heart Out – “It’s just you and I tonight Why don’t you figure my heart out?” – I bet I’m gonna sing this line if I’ll ever meet Matt.

Another thing that pique my interest was when I  learned that they’re based and formed in Manchester. (what are the odds? I do really love the Brits!) Now don’t make me choose which member I like the most, I’m still new with the band and I don’t want to choose a bias right now I just want to enjoy their lovely music.

To all the fans of The 1975 please help me know them more and please suggest any of their song that I should listen to.

Liebster Award Nomination

A massive thank you to my beloved neighbor/adviser Cheryle for nominating me. Thank you for believing in my blog and taking time to read it, you’re the best.

Liebster Award is given to new bloggers with less than 200 followers. I think that these kind of awards will help us new bloggers to improve on our writing and gain ideas from the long time bloggers out there.

A few rules for the Nominees:

  1. Thank and link the person who nominated you.
  2. Answer the questions given by the nominator.
  3. Nominate 11 other bloggers, who have less than 200 followers and link them.
  4. Create 11 new questions for the nominees to answer.
  5. Notify all nominees via social media/blogs.

Here are my answer to Cheryle’s questions

What always makes you laugh?

  • I always laugh even you throw me the silliest joke. I don’t know, I guess my lower frontal part of my brain is too prominent 🙂

If you were a colour, what colour would you be?

  • Pink. Ha! that’s my favorite color.

Where is your favourite place?

  • My Room. Yes! it’s the only place I could think and write. 🙂

How long have you been writing, blogging?

  • I always wanted to put up my own blog, and this year I decided to make one so to answer that, I’m pretty much new with blogging so please pardon me if I sometimes bore you.

Who do you look up to?

  • This may be a cliché answer but there’s only one person I look up to and that would be my MOM. I have seen her sacrificed so much for our family, and in the future if I’ll have my own family I just want to be like her. ❤ *HI MOM! Look I have my own blog now! Love you!*

What is your favourite and least favourite personality trait?

  • My favourite personality trait is “Conscientiousness” and “Obnoxious” as my least favourite.

What is your most difficult experience?

  • Its kind of hard to answer, but I guess the most difficult experience I had been when I have to live away from our house back when I was studying. You see, here in the Philippines most of us have these strong family ties and as much as possible families want to stay together. I’d consider it a difficult experience for me because I was so used to live with my mom and brothers, then all of a sudden I was transferred to a boarding school and it took me weeks/months to be able to adjust with my new living situation.

What is your favourite word and why?

  • “massive” One direction fans would know why. 🙂 But for me it became my favourite word because when I want to express something that either made me really happy or sad or frustrated I would definitely use the word “massive” 🙂

Who would you be if you were a person in history?

  • Emily Jane Brontë. I really love her novel Wuthering Heights even if it’s the only novel she wrote in her lifetime.

What do you look for in a post or a blog?

  • Nothing specific. I want to see every aspect of blogging from new and tenured bloggers out there. Also I do not want to limit my self to look for blogs with only the same interests with me.

What has been the best piece of advice you have been given?

  • Ha! I really don’t know! I am not really a good adviser but I can say I am a good listener. 🙂

For my dear nominees here’s the 11 questions I have for you:

  1. Describe your dream vacation
  2. What song best describes you?
  3. What was the last gift you gave someone?
  4. If you could learn one random skill, what would you learn?
  5. What talent/s do you have?
  6. What is your favorite movie?
  7. What would your dream job be?
  8. Have you ever done something really unbelievable, only to have no one around to see it?
  9. What foreign language would you love to learn and why?
  10. What was the last book you read?
  11. Do you prefer sunrise or sunset?

I hope everyone will enjoy! Thanks and happy blogging!

Book and Blog Challenge

Okaaaaaay. I’m really getting behind with my good reads book challenge plus I’m also feeling discourage with this blog… OMG!

I knew putting up a blog is a tedious work. Can someone help me? I work in a stressful office everyday as a product trainer and I hope that putting up a blog would help me relieve the stress HA! Anyway I’ll try to put some more effort on this blog. Please be considerate with me and your suggestions are very much welcome.

All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven

“You make me love you, and that could be the greatest thing my heart was ever fit to do”
I thought I’ve cried enough after reading pages 339-334 but I was wrong……I was left speechless after reading the book and to be honest I never felt so shattered after finishing it.

Half way through the book I wanted to stop reading. WHY? because I have this feeling of an impending doom but at the same time I wanted to proceed even though I have this feeling that my heart will be broken.

Jennifer Niven’s writing made me crave for more every chapter and every scene. She has this incredible way of constructing Finch and Violet’s POV. Plus I guess the reason that I could really relate and feel every emotion is because the book was based on her personal experience, and who wouldn’t feel the emotions in every word and phrase on the book? *ALL READERS FELT IT*

I would definitely recommend the book to my friends and loved ones

Good Reads Book Challenge

Getting Started…

I know you guys have been following a lot of awesome blogs now, but I guess it is not too late. 🙂 I’ve been planning to create a blog for myself for a long time now, and I have not made my self do it feeling that I am not ready to commit, and I also know that running a blog needs a massive effort to keep up and running. But now I am starting my own. Huzzah! I feel like I should cross this out from my bucket list and now I am one step ahead but still a long way across to be a certified blogger. 🙂

So, for this blog, expect that I’l be posting anything of interest or what’s in trend. But to give you a heads up, I may post mostly what interests me that I want to share with you guys.  (What could be those? *books*tv shows*movies*music*one direction*baking/cooking*etc*)

Thank You! I hope you’ll read my future posts!
